I came to Sam about a year and a half ago with a recommendation from one of his former clients, who had competed with him about 20 years ago (…If that doesn’t tell you something to begin with!). I had decided that I wanted to compete in the bikini division and had started out with little knowledge, hiring a coach online that I had found via Instragram. To say the least, I wasn’t happy with the way things were going, and in fact, I was progressing in the wrong direction. I was eating a LOT of food, and it was making me bloat/ puff up, and with the way I was training, I started to lose my feminine figure. That’s when I went to Sam for my initial in-person consult, which was a moment that changed my life in more ways than one! Sam’s 40+ years of experience in this industry are instantly apparent, and he immediately pointed out what was wrong with my current diet and style of training. He took the time to sit down with my family and me to thoroughly explain everything so that we could really understand the science and the why behind the changes I would need to make to reach my goals. I began training with him that day. I’ve since competed in 3 shows, placing in the top 3 in each of them, including two first places. What’s more, I did it all naturally, and one even took place during the Covid shutdown! I saw a tremendous change in my body in a matter of weeks, and I finally built the lean, muscular, and feminine figure that I had always strived for! Sam really knows the science behind diet and is very in tuned to how a body reacts, making fine adjustments to perfect the whole package. There’s absolutely no need for performance enhancing drugs, and as a full time dental student, this is something that is very important to me. Furthermore, Sam’s style of training is a ton of fun, and each time we train, his workouts challenge me in new ways. I like to say that not only is Sam my trainer, but he’s also my mentor, life coach, and sometimes therapist! Sam cares about each of his clients and takes the time to get to know their goals, habits, and personalities. Furthermore, he understands that every client requires a different approach, so there’s no such thing as “one-size-fits-all” when it comes to diet and training. I am so thankful to have found Sam, and I am looking forward to years of training and competitions with him! I can’t applaud him enough for his dedication and attention to detail, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to up their game!
